Gyrodactylus Salaris (GS) is an extremely dangerous parasite responsible for the destruction of salmon stocks in over 20 rivers in Norway. It is also present in Russia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal. It is vital that this GS declaration has been completed and signed by anglers and ensures the appropriate precautions are taken to prevent the spread of Gyrodactylus Salaris. It is the policy of Forsinard Flyfishers’ Club that no fishing is to take place until a GS declaration has been signed. I declare that my fishing tackle HAS NOT been outside the United Kingdom in the 7 days prior to the date of my arrival. Agree OR I declare that my fishing tackle HAS been used outside the United Kingdom in the 7 days prior to the date of my arrival in Sutherland and that it has been properly sterilised by using one of the following methods: Drying to a minimum of 20 degrees Celsius for 48 hours. Heating to above 60 degrees Celsius for 1 hour. Deep freezing for 24 hours. Immersion in a solution of one of the following chemicals to the concentration indicated for a minimum of 10 minutes: Virkon 1% or Wescdyne 1% or Sodium Chloride (common salt) 3% or Sodium Hydroxide 0.2% I SHALL WEAR A BUOYANCY AID WHILE BOAT FISHING I am aware of the Forsinard Flyfishers’ Clubs policy that all persons using a Club boat MUST wear a buoy-ancy aid. I therefore declare that on any occasions that I shall use a Forsinard Flyfishers’ Club boat I shall wear a buoyancy aid. I will wear my own buoyancy aid and I agree that it is fully functioning, not damaged and correctly fits me.
