Booking of Lochs

  • All fishing must be booked in advance.
  • Only ONE advance booking of a particular loch may be made at a time and it must be used before another booking is made. This applies to all members taking part in the initial booking.
  • All members fishing a loch must be named when making a booking.
  • In any seven day period, members will only be allowed to fish three of the lochs listed in the table below.
SLETHILL
LEIR
CAOL ALTNABREAC
SKYLINE
CROSS LOCHS
CLACH GEALA
CROC NAN LAIR
CAOL NORTH
  • Bookings for the 2022 season can only be made from the 1st April. Any bookings made before then will not be considered.
  • On all lochs which are catch and release, no bookings can be made in the 24 hours preceding an existing booking. For example if Baligill was booked on the 26th May it cannot be booked on the 25th May. Obviously any RSPB lochs that are catch and release already have the 3 day rule in place.
  • There are only a limited number of lochs which we would allow being booked on the same day by the same members and tend to be the more remote, smaller hill lochs. These bookings can only be judged on a case by case basis. The factors considered will be popularity and size of lochs, time of season and number of members fishing.
  • Any member found breaking or trying to circumvent the booking rules in any way is likely to have their membership and all other bookings immediately cancelled.
